GLOBAL LIVABILITY RANKED LAGOS 4TH WORST LIVABLE CITY IN THE WORLD
The annual survey by The Economist Intelligence Unit Limited released livability ranking (ranking most livable cities in the world) on february 21, 2011. Meanwhile, mixed reactions followed liveability ranking last year that ranked Lagos at No 5 on top worst Cities to live in the world; with Lagos government expressing disappointment at the outcome of the survey. Lagos moved up in this year's ranking, at number 4. Harare of Zimbabwe is the worst place to live in the world according to the survey, as African and Asian cities were at the bottom list due to the high rate of crime, violence, war in these cities. The ranking was based on; health care, culture, infrastructure, environment, and stability. Lagos was rated 39.0 overall. Scored 48.2 in infrastructure, 25 in stability, 52.3 in culture. Lagos was ranked number 137 out of the 140 most livable cities in the world. Vancouver of Canada and melbourne of australia were number one and two respectively on the list of most liveable cities in the world.
