The music industry's highest honors, The headies 2011 which gathered the industry professionals just ended few hours ago. It was a big night for 2face who took home three headies; album of the year, artiste of the year, and best R&B/pop album. Iceprince and Dr. Sid were also big winners at the show.
And the headies managed to produce a good bit of drama this year. Up and comer Starlet Dencia is new to the music industry, she has already made a name for herself as a video vixen after appearing in some international music videos; Jeremih and 50cent's down on me and some other videos. She's been spotted on red carpet several times of late rocking what seems like a 'spandex uniform'. And she's been nicknamed 'Naija Nicki Minaj' by bloggers.
And the gist is, Dencia got attacked by one time friend, called Liz Gavey outside the hall during the show. Not really sure of the truth, and we don't think anyone is, but the rumour is, dencia accused Liz of stealing her luxury clothes, shoes, and some accessories. And I hear the fight got so bad that someone's hair got pulled out.
Dr. Sid's performance was halted on stage after some major technical difficulties. Dr. Sid who had already won three awards got so pissed off, shouted 'wat d f*ck' as he stormed off the stage.
And later, he apologised for his odd behaviour,
"I apologize 4 losing my temper @ d headies, I put a lotta work in2 my performance & felt rlly embarased that they lost my performance track"
