This is a creative manipulation of the light. I call this unrealistic version of the real Queen. Lol
I know most shoots for magazines, social media and others are photoshopped, as you know, people stop at nothing for perfection. But the case of lightening skin, I find this more offensive because it reminds me of the myth people have believed for years dark skinned girls don't look better than light skinned girls.
Does she really need heavy Photoshopping to make her look stunning??
Is it just the exposure of the picture or did they purposely lighten her skin?

Naija rappers listed on BET Hiphop Award Cypher as revealed by NotJustOk. Not yet confirmed though.
Produced by IBK Spaceship Boi (Winner of Don Jazzy's Enigma competition)
Video Directed by Clarence Peters
So some hiphop heads thinks Iceprince shouldn't have made the list saying he's not good at freestyling. Iceprince had claimed he's not a good freestyler during Tim Westwood show where he read his lines from his blackberry in the freestyle section.
And I wonder if mainstream rappers freestyle anymore. I've watched the likes of lil'wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, Mos Def go in on BET Cypher and noticed they just recycled used line. Since BET has informed the rappers ahead, I think most rappers do write and memorize their lines. So Iceprince and other rappers who are not good at freestyling won't have problem with that
The award show will air on Tuesday Oct 11th, 2011 at Atlanta.

Sasha on her love life, shared that she believes her being involved in hiphop shouldn't have discouraged her male admirers.
In this interview, she sounded like a lady whom her career has taken all her focus. The hiphop lady is saying, you must love her for who she is.
Excerpts from her interview on Vanguard
Will you tag yourself a tomboy?
No o! I know I started off as a tom boy because a lot of things that my female friends will do were not interesting to me except for maybe shopping (laughs). I probably started of as a tom boy because I was a bit more brazen, adventurous and outspoken but I don't really think I am anymore. I'm a woman now I've grown over the years; that I am feisty doesn't mean that I'm manly
...People say when they see me on stage I look so aggressive. I believe that the content of what you are saying matters. If you watch the Adara video, I wasn't aggressive there because of the message in the song. You have to communicate your message in your songs. The fact is that I might be aggressive when I'm on stage, but then, I try to communicate my message to the audience. I hate to be a tom boy.
Do you think this has discouraged male admirers?
Well I certainly hope not, because I'm an African woman and African women are the strong confident ones and this is exactly how we expect our men to be. But then I don't just come at you and dare you. I'm not that kind of person. If a man is confident in himself then whatever it is that I am doing should not be a deterant to whatever it is he feels about me. It should not be a problem. But I do get to hear people say ha! Sasha you have to calm down o! because you know you might be scaring men away but then I say what have I done to scare anyone. I mean this is what I do and so it depends really on the individual. It's not about age or about any thing. It's about the confidence of the person involved. I don't see why you should see my performances as a deterant to anything that you might have in mind

k16 is a veteran in every word of it, he was a part of the trio who released "Which One You Dey” in 1991. They were called 'Emphasis' — a trio composed of rappers Terry and Mouth MC and singer Junior. They represented homegrown Nigerian hip-hop finally finding its own voice. Unlike most of their predecessors, Emphasis didn’t rely on barely-rhymed doggerel aping the rhythms and cadences of American old-school rap records, but instead presented a lucid narrative complete with plot, characterization and humor, delivered with a relaxed flow in pidgin English—the true language of Nigeria’s streets.
The 1991 maxi-single, Big deal was produced by the highly regarded filmmaker, Kingsley Ogoro. After his tertiary education in Nigeria, Mouth MC returned to his native London.
Mouth Mc made a comeback as a solo rap artist under the new pseudonym of 'K16' and in 2008, he got signed to Ikuku records.
'Wetin you dey talk' is a centered on love and an affair, precisely heartbreak over a cheating partner.

"Can't forget Cabasa, Same way I can't forget Ajasa, Never would I misplace 2phat and Spaco. Jahbless & 7th Chord. Cant just forget d beginning.."--9ice
Its no news that 9ice has distanced himself from Coded Tunes (a crew he was repping at the start of his career) after break up with his baby mama, Toni Payne. 9ice started his music journey with ID cabasa (his long time friend) in the late 1990s and they formed the Coded Tune clique together. 9ice broke into the industry in 2000 with "Little Money" produced by Cabasa.
Cabasa opened up about 9ice departure from the coded tunes crew after his 3rd album in an interview. '...I don't know where me or him (9ice) got it wrong, but he (9ice) just stopped talking to everybody in the Coded Tunes family' he told Femi Salawu Of The Nation. Cabasa who said he never gained anything (financially) from 9ice before he left, also vowed not to work with 9ice again.
When asked about why people portray her as being controversial actress, She said
'Yes,a lot of people say I am controversial. I can even say that about myself. Tonto is that,Tonto is this, today Tonto is doing this, tomorrow she is doing
that.I can say categorically that I am very
controversial but why it's like that is what I do not know. I think that Africans are not all that exposed to a lot of daring acts and once you do that, you become a
very strange person to them. And before you know it,you have become a topic. It
goes on and on like that just because you have deviated from who they think you're. Just because you're doing something different from what others do,they will call you a lot of names, that's just what I can say about that'
When asked what she thinks about fans reaction to her smoking habit.
'I appreciate the fact that people are getting worried about that but why? Is it because I am Tonto Dikeh or because they love me and they want me to be in
good health? They're two different things but I don't care. I care only when you give reasons for talking about me smoking. I don't think that should affect you,so far you're not my brother or my sister. We are not from the same
family. My smoking habit doesn't affect your life in any way. If I die tomorrow, you're not going to bury me. My father has the money to bury me.So,why are they talking about it?

MTV IGGY is a new MTV brand focused on global music and pop culture, on the lookout for best new music exploding around the world.
'Nneka is half Nigerian and half German, half hard hitting emcee and half heartbreaking neo soul diva. She divides her time between Hamburg and Lagos, her lyrics between Igbo and English. But, on a socially aware track like "Soul is Heavy," from her new album of the same name, she's completely, spine-tinglingly arresting. '
In a recent interview with Adunola Fasuyi of The Tribune, he talked about his forthcoming album with his son.
Excerpts from the interview
It was everywhere at some point that you have an album that you are working on, but for a while now, we have not heard anything about it, how far?
I haven't had time to complete the album. We are almost done with it. We are just waiting to do the final mixing and mastering but it's almost ready. And
then, my son is on it too, we are actually working on that in the studio right now as well. He has more than ten songs ready but we are working on the two
promotional songs that will be sent to radio stations and Dee-Jays.
What is your genre of music?
I am doing Gospel music, but my son is doing the normal D'Banj, Tuface kind of music.
How come you are just discovering the music talent in you, is it not rather late?
It's never too late to praise God. The music I play right now is to praise God and the bible says 'let everything that has breath praise the Lord'. So, it's not a question of age. I am not doing it because I want to be known as a musician. I see it as part of my responsibility to praise God continuously for the rest of my life for everything he has done for me.

Here is the press statement by Now Muzik
The management of Now Muzik wishes to formally notify the public that it has ceased to represent Terry G in management capacity. The decision to

'I went and spoke to young girls at an islamic school in Ghana today about Girl Power Education and not falling into the wrong lifestyle as I did as a young girl. I made a lot of mistakes and they've come back to haunt me, but now I have the opportunity to talk to girls all over the world and to let them know that they should chose a better way and not follow in my footsteps. These girls are awesome and it was a true blessing meeting them today they have inspired me'
