Wednesday, May 8, 2013, marks exactly one year that Michael Collins Ajereh publicly decided to chart a new course for himself with the birth of Mavin Records-home to the Mavin League. It also marks his birthday.
The last 12 months have been clouded with several can he get it right alone? Would he pull it through all by himself?
When news circulated that Don Jazzy and Dbanj had split last year it was also said that he left with all Don Jazzy's catalogue. Of course everyone thought that would be the end of him.
And considering the obvious fact that the last one year has
become symbolic as one of the most trying periods for the Nigerian entertainment industry, it has also become a symbolic year in the life of the man who is now known and well referred to as Don Jazzy.

Man-of-the-moment Olamide continues to stir the pot with rumors that he may become the newest member of dbanj's DB records

Hip hop fans know that Olamide has been riding
with dbanj and his crew for a while now. He's been featured on dbanj's single. First, it came as a huge surprise that dbanj teamed up with Olamide for the new single 'Ibadi e' off DKM album. And they've been spotted on set of the song's video shoot together. If that wasn't enough to spark the rumors, the two arrived at the Nigerian entertainment conference held few days ago together.

Now with so much dbanj affiliation, and all the buzz surrounding Olamide, he's presently in atlanta, USA with eja nla himself working on a project (according to a reliable) and yeah living it up.

Only time will tell if Olamide becomes part of the DB records Music family, but the rapper will be dropping his much anticipated mixtape ( he calls it 'street tape') 'S.O.S' on June 12th.

Embattled music producer cum artist, Solomon Oyeniyi popularly known as K-Solo says he has finally gotten a court injunction dissolving his marriage to his ex-wife Kikelomo.

The crooner who had an exclusive chat with us on Friday 4, 2012 simply said “I can finally tell you that I have gotten a judgment from the court dissolving my marriage to her.”

“I will ensure to forward the copies of the documents to you so you can tell the word this is my response to all the rubbish that had been said but I purposely kept quiet now they should know about this development.”

Also to commemorate what he sees as a success in the court, K-Solo disclosed that he acquired a brand new black Commander jeep, 2009 model. To him “God also blessed me with a little gift, which is my commander jeep.”

The controversies trailing the music producer dates back to September last year, when the social media was flanked with stories and pictures of wife battery against him.

Few weeks after the story broke another information emanated suggesting that the wife battery story was a publicity hoax. All these culminated in spelling doom for the couple.

In October 2012, the embattled couple were again locked in paternity mess, as Kikelomo gave birth to a child, but K-solo quickly disowned and the new mother simply assented to the denial by sending an sms that viral informing k-solo that she is unwilling to associate her baby to him or any member of his family.

"He didn't let wizkid rest" - A backstage crew member recounts backstage experience with Chris Brown

Lilly, one of the backstage crew members at Chris Brown's concert (held in Nigeria last december) recounted her experience while trying to meet up with Chris Brown's super-sized rider (those are sets of requests that artists sets as criteria for performance) requests. Lilly tweeted about Chris Brown's arrival, and how the US R&B star keep looking for Wizkid each time he returns to the backstage.

Lilly who worked in the green room ( for those who don't know, its a room that functions as a waiting room and lounge for performers before and after a performance) tweeted

"...when Chris Brown finally emerged, he went into the production office first to speak with his team, and then straight 2 his green room with @wizkidayo. whenever he didn't see wizkid he would come out with his whole team asking where's wiz? wheres wiz? he didn't let wizkid rest o, it was wizkidd this wizkid that. haa I was so proud of my wiz o. I was proud of the way wizkid comported himself, Chris Brown was the fan and wizkid the artiste lol. the production team had told me to also include wizkid in the green room requirement as Chris Brown had been singing wizkid right from SA. I had been briefed that wizkid might be the only one allowed in the green room with him, wizkid must have his wardrobe sorted as well. because no one was to know, everything wizkid was coded, and it was the Americans and south Africans giving us brief about wizkid. at a point me and @bolaje were wondering if it was a wizkid concert or a Cb concert we were very proud of our own sha. Cb's stylist & @bolajee sorted his wardrobe and when CB asked everything be displayed wiz's was the first he asked for ha na wa o. everytime he got off stage for a change of clothes he would ask for wizkid lol

Taking a long break from blogging!

Hello readers! If you've been following my blog at all, you might have noticed that I haven't been blogging as regularly as I usually do. Why? Because I've been extremely busy in the last couple of weeks. I needed to put some serious time into working on some projects that need my full attention – at least for now. . Life has been super busy! *sigh*

To be honest, I felt like things were getting a bit stale. Letting the blog sit idle... can be brutal on our audience and traffic.


My blog has been running for about two years now and has done quite well - I've got regular readers and my traffic is increasing.
